Seems Rage Against The Machine fans AKA generation x are nothing but thugs.
In a thoughtful move I’ve seen come from more than one band in my history of concert venues this isn’t the first instance of a Heavy Metal band trying to control the mob mentality of a few idiots in the audience.
Seems these fans should have taken heed.
Guess the police and Secret Service were ready at the helm, what with the RNC convention located down the street from the concert.
Guess these kids were lucky the situation hadn’t ended any worse. Continue Reading ‘"Rage" Fans Nothing But Thugs’
While researching the 2nd Amendment stance of our two largest political party figureheads, had a bit of trouble finding information on Barack Obama’s website… Here is what I found:
BARACK OBAMA [link]
note: No actual mention of firearms, or 2nd Amendment… calls it Sportsmen.
"Barack Obama did not grow up hunting and fishing, but he recognizes the
great conservation legacy of America’s hunters and anglers and has
great respect for the passion that hunters and anglers have for their
sport. Were it not for America’s hunters and anglers, including the
great icons like Theodore Roosevelt and Aldo Leopold, our nation would
not have the tradition of sound game management, a system of ethical,
science-based game laws and an extensive public lands estate on which
to pursue the sport. Obama recognizes that we must forge a broad
coalition if we are to address the great conservation challenges we
face. America’s hunters and anglers are a key constituency that must
take an active role and have a powerful voice in this coalition."
JOHN MCCAIN [link]
note: opposes high-capacity magazine bans, assault-weapon bans, manufacturer liability, and emergency confiscations. Extensive information and voting record available.
"John McCain believes that the right of
law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is a fundamental, individual
Constitutional right that we have a sacred duty to protect. We have a
responsibility to ensure that criminals who violate the law are
prosecuted to the fullest, rather than restricting the rights of law
abiding citizens. Gun control is a proven failure in fighting crime.
Law abiding citizens should not be asked to give up their rights
because of criminals – criminals who ignore gun control laws anyway."

A
political star was born in September 2008 when Sarah Palin rose to the top of
the long list to be the presumptive Republican nominee for office of Vice
President of the United
States, stuff under the John McCain ticket.
The
Alaskan Independence Party (Alaska’s
third-largest political party) Chairman, tadalafil Lynette Clark, initially reported that
Sarah Palin was also a member of this divisive group, but, on September 3rd,
she released a correction through the AIP website (http://www.akip.org) and apologized
for repeating a claim by another member without first reviewing the records and
verifying the claim.
She reports that “What
was correct was that Todd Palin was a member, that Sarah as a candidate for
Governor appeared at the AIP Convention in 2006, and sent a welcoming DVD to
the membership at the 2008 AIP statewide convention.” – [source]
Liberal
Bloggers DailyKos.com [website],
calling this topic “Secession-Gate: It’s
a Campaign Killer”, claims to have broken the story that Gov. Palin was a
member of the AIP and that “… yes, Sarah
Palin really thought that Alaska should have the chance to vote on remaining a
united-state or an independent state.” [source]
According
to Mark Chryson (former AIP official, and friend of GeeksWithGuns.com):
“Sarah attended at
least the key note address by Lt. Gov. Jack Coghill… one of the authors and
signers of the Alaska
constitution in 1958 … who was nominated to be our gubernatorial candidate at
that time.”
“No one in Alaska
has even mentioned any AIP connection and the media here knows it is a non-story
as there were as many as 7 parties in Alaska
at one time (AIP, Lib, Dem, Rep, Mod Rep, Green, Veterans and Other besides non-partisan
and undeclared.)
Talk about a
nightmare for the elections dept.“

The following is a first hand account of a gentleman who has a story to tell about his experiences with Sarah Palin. I am granting him this venue to say what he has to say because firstly, pilule it gives us another non-press view of a soon-to-be mainstream name, cheapest and secondly, ampoule the person giving this account is a Geek with Guns (and used to host this website for me when I needed his help).
"I just wanted to let you know …
Sarah Palin who McCain just picked as the next vice president is one of the most
honest people I have known. I have known her for over 15 years, been in her
house and have had numerous conversations with her, in person, on the phone both
for personal issues as well as political issues.
"She is an excellent choice and
this might have even saved McCain from going down in history as a loser in the
presidential race. Sarah is one elected official that I can’t say anything
negative about. And after 15 years of knowing her if there was something that
was bad I would have known it.
"This lady has contacted me
personally to get help discovering how one of her co workers was abusing his
state office because she didn’t believe she could trust the states department of
law. The guy later copped a plea, paid a hefty fine and lost his state job but
this was after she quit her 2000 / week job and was forced to go public to
expose his corruption. By the way he was/is the chairman of the state republican
party
"She is VERY approachable which is
going to make the insiders and secret service crazy."Wanted to let you
know."

Yesterday I answered a knock on the door, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.
‘Good morning,’ said the young man. ‘If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners.’ ‘Go away!’ I said. ‘I haven’t got any money!’, ‘I’m broke!’ and proceeded to close the door. Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed wide open. ‘Don’t be too hasty!’ he said. ‘Not until you have at least seen my demonstration’. And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure onto my hallway carpet.
"If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder. I stepped back and said, ‘Well I hope you’ve got a good appetite, because they cut off my electricity this morning. What part of broke do you not understand?’

"With her beehive hairdo and retro specs, abortion Palin, visit this 44, order has a “naughty librarian
vibe”, according to Craig Ferguson, the Scottish comedian who stars on
late-night US television. However, the selection of Palin, the governor of
Alaska and a mother of five, as the first female Republican
vice-presidential nominee is no joke for the Democrats."
"Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio chat show host, exulted, “We’re the ones
with a babe on the ticket” — one, moreover, with a reputation as a
tax-cutter and corruption buster in her job as the first woman governor of
Alaska."
Palin is gunning for the 18m women who voted for Hillary Clinton — a third of
whom have not made up their mind to back Obama, according to the latest
polls. McCain specifically deployed the language of feminism and civil
rights when announcing her candidacy. “She stands up for what’s right and
she doesn’t let anyone tell her to sit down,” he said.
Palin’s parents learnt that she had been selected by McCain while they were
heading for a remote camp in Alaska to hunt caribou. “I was speechless,” her
father said. The skin of a grizzly bear that he shot drapes the sofa in her
office.
"At school she was
nicknamed Sarah Barracuda on the basketball court because she was so
competitive and she led the prayers before each game.
She was a “hockey mom” who cut her teeth at the parent-teacher association
before becoming mayor of Wasilla, a suburb of Anchorage with a population
under 7,000. In 2006 she beat the corrupt male establishment in Alaska to
win the governorship. She opposes same-sex marriage, but one of her first
acts in office was to veto a bill blocking health benefits for gay lovers of
public employees.
She hunts, ice-fishes and is a crack shot who knows how to fire an M16 rifle. [gun toting image] “I was raised in a family where gender was not going to be an issue,” she
said. “The girls did what the boys did. Apparently in Alaska that’s quite
commonplace.”
"Palin was glamorous enough to have entered beauty contests to earn money for
college. She was crowned Miss Wasilla in her home town and was runner-up in
the 1984 Miss Alaska contest. “They made us line up in bathing suits and
turn our backs so the male judges could look at our butts. I couldn’t
believe it,” she told Vogue, more amused than outraged.
"
"Counterbalancing McCain’s reputation as a political dinosaur, Palin smoked pot
when it was legal in Alaska, admitting, “I can’t claim a Bill Clinton and
say I never inhaled”, and her children, Track, 19, Bristol, 17, Willow, 13,
Piper, 7, and Trig, four months, have hippie-sounding names. Track, who
joined the US infantry in September last year, is about to be deployed to
Iraq. “It has really opened my eyes to international events and how war
impacts everyday Americans like us,” she said. "[source] Continue Reading ‘Gun-Packing, Hockey-Playing Beauty needed in the Whitehouse?’
The 2008 Democratic Party’s draft platform confirms that the party still “doesn’t get it” about Second Amendment gun rights versus the Utopian fantasy that gun control laws will somehow make neighborhoods safer, more about the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.
“While promising to preserve our Second Amendment rights, information pills ” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “the party platform demonizes semiautomatic sport utility rifles and wants them banned, calls for anti-gun show legislation and proposes so-called ‘common-sense’ gun laws. Many Democrats believe bans on most guns are ‘common sense’ and they still support the handgun ban in Barack Obama’s hometown of Chicago. Boiled down, all it really means is that the Democrats are still the party of gun control no matter how they try to re-package the rhetoric, and they know it.”

A federal judge says Florida employees can keep guns locked in their cars while at work for now.
U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle released a preliminary injunction Monday night on a law that went into effect July 1. The law bars employers from telling workers, customers and other visitors they can’t keep a firearm locked in their vehicles.
The new law was challenged in federal court in Tallahassee by the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Retail Federation. The group believes letting workers keep guns in cars compromises safety.
Judge Hinkle heard arguments against the law in late June, but has not ruled. The merits of the case still need to be heard in court.

BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP—the policy whereby the children of illegal aliens born within the geographical limits of the United States are entitled to American citizenship—is a great magnet for illegal immigration. Many believe that this policy is an explicit command of the Constitution, consistent with the British common law system. But this is simply not true.
