It’s offering a $200 discount to gun owners who turn in their old pistols and buy a brand-new Sig Sauer.
And no, viagra you can’t get a rebate by turning in a zip gun or a rusty old .22. According to the rules, a qualifying “Klunker” handgun “must be operational and free from cracks in frame or other key components … [and] must be a semi-auto pistol 9mm or larger, or revolver of .38 caliber or larger.” – [source]

Robert Millage of Kamiah said he was surrounded by a pack of wolves before dawn and waited until light to call them with a hand call that sounded like a wounded coyote. The 80-pound female wolf came fast to him 25 yards before Millage shot her with his .243 rifle in the Lolo Zone.
"The whole area is lousy with them," Millage said. "But I guess it was the luck of the draw."

A three-judge panel of the 1st District Court of Appeal issued that explanation for last month releasing Jimmy Hair from jail, where he had spent two years awaiting trial on a first-degree murder charge.
Hair, 28, was charged with fatally shooting Charles Harper, 26. Harper had forced his way into a car in which Hair was a passenger and then tussled with him. The car was parked outside a Tallahassee nightclub where Harper earlier had argued with the driver.

Supreme Court has deemed a 2004 law barring While I don’t want people who have proven themselves to be untrustworthy in society to have firearms, but I also don’t want any government to tell a human being that they don’t have the right to self defense of themselves and their families (NATURES first law as well as a 2nd Amendment issue). How do you solve this paradox? A sheriff says a North Carolina state senator shot one of two intruders at his home and hospital officials say the man is in fair condition.
Multiple media outlets reported that Columbus County Sheriff Chris Batten said that 74-year-old Sen. R.C. Soles of Tabor City shot Kyle Blackburn late Sunday afternoon.
A spokeswoman at Loris Community Hospital inSouth Carolina said Monday that Blackburn was in fair condition.
Batten says the shooting occurred when two men went to the senator’s house and tried to kick in his front door. No charges have been filed.
The sheriff’s office said the State Bureau of Investigation was handling the case. A call to an agency spokeswoman was not immediately returned. There was no answer at a number listed for Soles’ home.

(I thought these people hate guns? Sooo, it’s OK for them to own guns but not us!?-donttreadonme) Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet. They’re not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Tthe world’s #1 volume Hummer dealer, drugs has announced the opening of the world’s first combined Hummer and firearms dealership. Jim Lynch has turned his $7.5 million Hummer facility in this upscale St. Louis suburb into every shooting enthusiast’s must-visit attraction. “It is a natural fit,” says Jim. “Our customers enjoy outdoor sports and the firearms have been a big hit with our Hummer owners.”
With the automobile industry suffering sharp sales declines, Jim Lynch found himself with a beautiful facility that was vastly underutilized. “We have been very fortunate with our newest venture. Firearm manufacturers have embraced our vision and have provided us with a huge inventory of items that are in demand and hard to find elsewhere.”
Firearms from top-tier manufacturers Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Kimber, Colt, Benelli, Beretta, Browning, FNH, H&K, Springfield Armory, Glock, Ruger, Walther, Stoeger, Franchi, Uberti, CMMG, DPMS, Bushmaster and Barrett, among others, crowd the large showroom once filled with Hummers. Apparently ammunition suppliers have also taken note of Mr. Lynch’s venture, as ammunition scarce elsewhere fills the shelves.
On the "CBS Evening News," Katie Couric asked: "Are we really still debating health care when a man brings a handgun to a church where the president is speaking?" Kostric did bring a gun to the church, but Couric was plainly wrong about where the president was speaking. He spoke at the town hall at the high school down the street. She somehow linked Kostric’s gun to the "fear and frankly ignorance drown[ing] out the serious debate that needs to take place about an issue that effects the lives of millions of people."
Yet, the most amazing thing about the news coverage was how much the media missed. Far from being a hot head, Kostric and a friend had been roughed up by a u n i o n member.
The u n i o n member had spit on and kicked the person who was with Kostric. But Kostric didn’t threaten the u n i o n member, and didn’t respond physically in any way. Kostric and his friend notified the police of the incident, but the police officer shrugged and went away. Kostric’s gun did however defuse the volatile situation with the u n i o n member — once the
u n i o n member saw Kostric’s gun in its holster he backed up and moved away.
Reporting from Colorado Springs, Colo. – This conservative city is The The "Every penny counts," Small said. Read more… Police have dropped charges against an 18-year-old Scottsdale man who dressed in military fatigues and toted a faux rifle on a trail at McDowell Sonoran Preserve last week.
Max Hoemke was arrested Aug. 11 for disorderly conduct stemming from the early-morning incident which gave hikers a scare and put local authorities on alert. However, consultation with the city prosecutor’s office and interviews with Hoemke and his family led police to drop charges, said Sgt. Mark Clark, a Scottsdale police spokesman.
"All parties have agreed that criminal charges in this matter are not in the best interest of justice," Clark said.
Hoemke reportedly told officers that he was preparing for upcoming ROTC classes, and police determined that the gun he carried was an Airsoft-type gun, not a firearm.
However, authorities took the suspicious sighting seriously. Police and Scottsdale Unified School District had made preparations to lock down nearby schools as a precaution, before investigators deemed it safe for students to go to school that day.
