Why Floridans should bear arms!

I thought for sure this was an Urban Legend… the Mammoth Hog! I looked it up on Snopes.com and it appears to be legit.

Larry Earley: “I shot a log boar hog on August 27, 2004. The pictures you have were taken on my property close to where the hog was shot. I have many more photos. I do not know the origin of the story on the Internet. It did not come from me. Half of the details are accurate. “

I shot the hog once with a .44 magnum (the one in the photo). The hog charged towards me after he was shot but he only covered about 20 feet of ground. I was 10 yards away when I shot, and I was backing up while keeping the crosshairs on the hog as he was moving towards me. That is typical with wild hogs, that is what makes them fun to hunt.

Build a bridge

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice the Lord said, because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.

The man said, build a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over anytime I want.

The Lord said, Your request is very materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of something that would honor and glorify me.

The man thought about it for a long time.

Finally he said, Lord, I wish that I could understand my wife – I want to know how she feels inside, what she’s thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says ‘nothing’s wrong’, and how I can make a woman truly happy.

Army will replace it’s existing Leopard AS-1 MBT’s with an improved and upgraded M1A1 Abrams variant. Improvements are also being made to the Army’s range of ASLAV armored vehicles and a new vehicle, called the Bushmaster will be introduced shortly to allow new capabilities for escorting vital convoys and improving the security and survivabilty of the Australian infantry units on deployment. The Army has also ordered a new attack/reconnaissance helicopter based on the Eurocopter Tiger. Continue Reading ‘Australia to upgrade. Big time!’

Stan Lee – Excelsior!

A New York judge says Spider-Man creator Stan Lee is entitled to 10 percent of the profits from movies and toys based on the superheroes he created.

U.S. District Judge Robert Sweet’s ruling comes in a lawsuit filed by the 82-year-old Lee, who sued Marvel Comics in 2002, claiming the company breached his 1998 contract to act as a spokesman for the comic book giant and was cheating him of millions from its Hollywood ventures.

Should personal firearms be too expensive?

SWEETWATER, Fla. — The town of Sweetwater isn’t making friends with other local police departments.

Sweetwater’s top cop says he doesn’t have enough money to buy new guns for his officers — so he’s got no choice but to trade in old guns for new ones at a local gun store.

Critics call the “trade-in” program a big mistake. Continue Reading ‘Should personal firearms be too expensive?’

Why Liberals Love Gun Control

By Justin Darr
January 12, decease 2005
Article from gopusa.com

If there is one thing liberals love more than banning Christianity from public schools it is creating ineffective gun control laws. Despite centuries of evidence that gun control laws do not lower crime, stop violence, or make society safer in any way, liberals keep plugging away at our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
