White House press doyenne Helen Thomas is plenty peeved at her longtime friend Albert Eisele, editor of THE HILL newspaper in Washington, D.C.
In a column this week headlined “Reporter: Cheney’s Not Presidential Material,” Eisele quoted Thomas as saying “The day Dick Cheney is going to run for president, I’ll kill myself. All we need is one more liar.”

My partner and I have a leather tack shop in Texas.
Along with doing boot/shoe/saddle repair and manufacture….we also have a line of handgun leather. No, not the traditional stuff you can buy from any mainstream retail outfit…we make the stuff that hasn’t been thought of yet. One of our big sellers, that’s turning lots of heads at gun shows is “Mountable Handgun Holsters”

Army officials at Camp Edwards believed they were being eco-friendly when they started using a “green bullet” that contains no lead — a move meant to prevent polluting an aquifer beneath the base.
But six years later, after a million rounds have been fired at the base’s shooting ranges, new information suggests the green bullets may not be much better for the environment than the lead ones. Continue Reading ‘Armys Green Bullets Not So Eco-Friendly’

Microsoft plans to release a test version of the next edition of Windows this morning, according to a source familiar with the company’s plans.
The Beta 1 version of Windows ‘Vista’ isn’t expected to have the look and feel of the final operating system. The test version is expected to be limited, at least initially, to developers and technical audiences.

The National Weather Service Duties Act of 2005, salve Senate Bill S.786, proposes that the National Weather Service discontinue many services that people depend on in their daily lives.
The collection of this information, including weather observations, satellite images and radar images, is all paid for by the taxpayers. Under this proposal, processing and distribution of this information would have to be done by private weather companies, notably AccuWeather of State College Pennsylvania, and other services. This would make this kind of data inaccessible to people who cannot afford to pay for a private weather service.
This legislation was introduced by Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pennsylvania.

Gun Owners of America is hearing rumblings that the Senate will soon be considering legislation to slow down the number of frivolous lawsuits against gun makers.
Although GOA is supportive of this legislation, S. 397, we must remember that anti-gun Senators used this legislation last year to
load it up with all kinds of anti-gun riders — things like gun show restrictions, semi-auto bans and more.

Soldiers from Massachusetts and Hawaii who work at the U.S. military detention facility at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, ed Cuba, treatment gave visiting home-state senators a piece of their mind last week.
