Brazil, America’s 51st Territory

Firearm owners of the international community scored a direct hit against the totalitarian regimes’ plan for total control of the world in a not-so-surprising vote to keep small arms in the hands of citizens. Even citizens in underdeveloped regions realize the importance of self defense rights. Hopefully Second Amendment rights groups abroad will rally together in the fight to keep the U.N. out of the lives of those that feel the need for self-preservation.

Jackhammer shotgun (USA)

Type: gas-operated, select-fire
Gauge: 12
Length: 787 mm
Barrel length: 525 mm.
Weight unloaded : 4.57 kg
Capacity : 10 rounds in removable revolver-type drum magazine
Rate of fire: 240 rounds per minute

The Jackhammer automatic shotgun was developed by the US firearms designer John Andersen, who requested patents for the basic design of this shotgun in 1984. Since that time and until the late 1990s he continued to develop and improve his basic design but as far as I know failed to attract any serious buyers. In fact, only few working prototypes of the Jackhammer were ever built. Some sources stated that only two fully automatic prototypes are exist, and the Jane’s Defense Library 2000 stated that the development is complete but production never began. At my opinion, the Jackhammer is a solution that still to have a question, and it possess some questionable features that can distract any serious military or police buyer. But, anyway, it is interesting design and well deserves its place both here and in the general firearms history.

Early voting opened in Texas

Wake up fellow Texans and head down to your local city hall and VOTE EARLY on the many constitutional amendments on the table.  One in particular specifies that "Marriage" is between one man and one woman and that no silly judges ruling in a liberal State will force us to recognize homosexual marriage.

I usually avoid modifications to the constitution, but I have a real problem with the way Judges interpret them.  If the only way to enforce the will of the people and to hold back virtual legislation from the judicial bench, is to put it in plainer language so be it.  VOTE.  Took me roughly 5 minutes to vote from the time I got to the city hall and the time I left with my "I voted early" sticker.  Early voting rocks, and if you don’t vote, you haven’t the right to bitch later. Sulu falls out of the closet

George Takei, WHY did you have to go and talk about your sex-life?  How would you feel if you were blasted every stinkin’ day with someone "confessing" they like women?  Oh, hey WORLD, it’s me… Yeah, it’s been a while since my last confession, but I have something to say: I’m Hetero with a touch of sarcasm.  Yes, it’s true.

George Takei, who as helmsman Sulu steered the Starship Enterprise through three television seasons and six movies, has come out as a homosexual in the current issue of Frontiers, a biweekly Los Angeles magazine covering the gay and lesbian community.

Takei told The Associated Press on Thursday that his new onstage role as psychologist Martin Dysart in "Equus" helped inspire him to publicly discuss his sexuality.

The Doomsday Provision

It’s nice to see common sense coming from a member of the "mainstream" media. Here’s another great article from John Stossel.

Guns are dangerous. But myths are dangerous, too. Myths about guns are very dangerous, because they lead to bad laws. And bad laws kill people.

"Don’t tell me this bill will not make a difference," said President Clinton, who signed the Brady Bill into law.

Sorry. Even the federal government can’t say it has made a difference. The Centers for Disease Control did an extensive review of various types of gun control: waiting periods, registration and licensing, and bans on certain firearms. It found that the idea that gun control laws have reduced violent crime is simply a myth.

I wanted to know why the laws weren’t working, so I asked the experts. "I’m not going in the store to buy no gun," said one maximum-security inmate in New Jersey. "So, I could care less if they had a background check or not."

When the gov-o-mint gets involved, fruad is sure to follow

I found this information on the internet recently, I think that this amplifies my concern of what happens when the goverment tries to fix something by throwing money at something, and trying to do it within "federal funding"

- Lax oversight by federal regulators has helped waste millions of dollars in a government program that aims to connect schools and libraries to the Internet, according to a congressional investigation.

The E-Rate program, which is overseen by the Federal Communications Commission, provides discounted Internet access and connection equipment to help expand Internet availability, especially in rural and low-income areas.

Free American broadband!

In France, you can get super-fast DSL, unlimited phone service and 100 TV channels for a mere $38 a month. Why does the same thing cost so much more in the U.S.?

Next time you sit down to pay your cable-modem or DSL bill, consider this: Most Japanese consumers can get an Internet connection that’s 16 times faster than the typical American DSL line for a mere $22 per month.

EFF Reveals Codes in Xerox Printers

Big Brother? Just because a document from a color laser printer doesn’t carry your name doesn’t mean no one can trace it back to you, privacy advocates warn.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation says it has cracked the tracking codes embedded in Xerox Corp.’s DocuColor color laser printers. Such codes are just one way that manufacturers employ technology to help governments fight currency counterfeiting.
