Here’s what we’re facing. On or about September 30, Congress will consider a “continuing resolution” (CR) to fund the government from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012.

Well, you can be sure about this — when it comes to funding the government, any bill passed by Congress will NOT be neutral on the Second Amendment:

* Either the CR will fund the anti-gun ObamaCare program … or it will explicitly prohibit ObamaCare from being funded.

* Either it will fund ATF’s illegal efforts to register multiple sales of long guns in the southwest … or it will explicitly prohibit those activities from being funded.

* Either it will fund the Obama administration’s illegal efforts to block the importation of shotguns and rifles … or it will explicitly prohibit these bans from being funded.

* Either it will fund negotiations at the United Nations to produce a small arms treaty that will license firearms, ban semi-autos, and ban tiny modifications of firearms … or it will explicitly prohibit those negotiations.

Barack Obama can veto the CR. If he does so, his wretched administration will be shut down.

But the House of Representatives also has a veto, as it can refuse to send an anti-gun CR to the Senate. So the message is that Congress needs to reject any CR which:

* Does not defund ObamaCare;

* Does not defund the illegal multiples sales regs;

* Does not defund the illegal shotgun and rifle import bans;

* Does not defund the UN negotiations to license American gun owners.

We can tell you right now that there will be some congressmen who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund ObamaCare. But that doesn’t mean I support ObamaCare.”

That is a lie.

There are congressmen who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund the registration of long guns. But that doesn’t mean I support the registration of long guns.”

That is a lie.

There are some who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund the bans on importing shotguns and rifles. But that doesn’t mean I support those import bans.”

That is a lie.

And there are some who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund UN negotiations to register gun owners. But that doesn’t mean I support gun registration.”

That is a lie.-[source]

The Pima County Republican Party publicized the raffle in its online newsletter last week, under a headline that read: “Help Pima GOP get out the vote and maybe help yourself to a new Glock.”

Jeff Rogers, chairman of the county’s Democratic Party, called the raffle a “stunning lack of judgment and sensitivity” given that the weapon is the same make used in the Jan. 8 mass shooting in Tucson, the Pima County seat. The shooting spree left six people dead and 13 wounded, including Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

The handgun being raffled is a Glock 23. The one used in the Tucson shooting was a Glock 19, the Arizona Daily Star reported.-[source]

Rolley, a Democrat, is quoted by WBAL news acknowledging that raising the cost of firearms won’t work “because many criminals don’t purchase new guns, and they can be borrowed or even rented in some areas.” “Sounds like Rolley’s trolley has left the tracks,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “If this guy actually believes that criminals rent firearms, he must live on Fantasy Island. Criminals steal firearms, even from the police, and when they do, they also steal the ammunition. Clearly, this one dollar-per-bullet tax idea comes from someone who doesn’t have a clue about criminals or the way they operate, but he does know about raising taxes.”-[source]

Predictably, Barack Hussein Obama and his Leftist cadres in the Democrat Party were quick to convert the Tucson tragedy into political fodder to formulate a new round of “common sense” gun control legislation. Indeed, Obama claimed the Tucson assault should “at least be the beginning of a new discussion on how we can keep America safe for all our people.” He went on, “I believe that if common sense prevails, we can get beyond wedge issues and stale political debates to find a sensible, intelligent way [to confiscate guns].”-[source]

Cummings, ranking member on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which has held hearings on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ Operation Fast and Furious, has invited a Who’s Who of anti-gunners to speak at this forum, which begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Russell Senate Office Building, Room 428A.

“This isn’t a forum,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “It’s a Capitol Hill kangaroo court with the singular goal of deflecting public attention away from the Justice Department’s horrible mishandling of a gunrunning sting that has flooded Mexico with guns. Operation Fast and Furious is a product of the Obama administration, and Cummings is running interference for the White House and Attorney General Eric Holder.-[source]

But as the 4 million-strong group readies its fight to oust President Obama in 2012, it has to go back only 11 years for a battle plan. That’s when the Second Amendment advocates mounted their biggest political effort ever to defeat then Vice President Al Gore by targeting key pro-gun Democratic states he needed to beat George W.
“I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of African-American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy: Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms into our urban centers, across this country, that are killing black and brown children.”

Garry: you’re crazy.

Clayton Cramer shows how American gun control historically facilitated Black oppression. (Of Japanese and Indians, too.)

After the Civil War, White Democrats like Garry McCarthy sought to disarm Blacks, and for good reason.

I recently correlated Black homicide rates from the CDC with Brady Campaign report cards 2001-2007. Brady evaluated states on how well they implemented gun control laws. The result shows that more gun control correlates with higher Black homicide rates and lower Caucasian homicide rates.

Most of Brady’s reports graded states on “A” to “F”, though that’s recently been replaced with stars. In any case, it conveniently divided states into quintiles. When comparing Quintile 1 (most gun control) with Quintile 5 (least gun control), Blacks averaged 20.7% higher homicide rates in states with the most gun control, while Caucasian rates averaged 64.1% lower.

Gun control still benefits Caucasians and harms Blacks, just like it did before and after the Civil War.

Garry McCarthy just happens to be Caucasian. For that matter, so’s Brady presidentPaul Helmke.

Just a curious coincidence, no doubt.-[source]

Darrell Issa (R-CA) beamed a spotlight on the criminal behavior of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, commonly referred to as the ATF. At Wednesday’s hearing, Issa took on Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich by asking him: “Who authorized this program that was so felony stupid it got people killed.”

Chairman Issa started off the interrogation of Weich by holding up one of the pages that the ATF had provided his committee. It was completely blackened, one of hundreds that had been totally redacted by the agency. Issa told Weich that this was unacceptable and that he was tired of the lack of cooperation at the Department of Justice.

Issa also caught Weich in a lie by pointing to a letter in which he denied any knowledge of Fast and Furious, when we now know that Weich did know about the program. Weich said that the letter had been written by a committee and that he did not know who had written that particular sentence. He refused to commit, however, to finding out who authored that lie and reporting back to Issa about it!-[source]

Darrell Issa for months over an investigation into the lethal Operation Fast and Furious even after a subpeona was issued, but Issa isn’t playing softball.

“This is not a discovery process of what happened. We know what happened. We know that this Administration at the highest levels approved a process that allowed thousands of high powered weapons, basically AK-47s and M-16 look alikes, to go to the worst of the worst on both sides of the borders.”

“This was an operation approved in Washington.”

“We have a slew of subpeonas that we expect to be issuing for people here in Washington.”

The Obama Administration is conducting a cover up and using law abiding American gun shop owners and the Second Amendment as scape goats.-[source]

AB 809 would create a Canadian style registration scheme for long guns.
