Fake Soldier Embarrasses The Anti-War Movement

When Jessie Macbeth told his stories of US atrocities in Iraq, it chilled the blood

"When we were doing the night raids in the houses, we would pull people out and have them all on their knees and zip-tied. We would ask the man of the house questions. If he didn’t answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head. We would keep going, this was our interrogation. He could be innocent. He could be just an average Joe trying to support his family. If he didn’t give us a satisfactory answer, we’d start killing off his family until he told us something. If he didn’t know anything, I guess he was SOL."

There’s just one problem. Jessie is not, and has never been a US soldier, or a soldier for anyone else. In fact, an Army investigation revealed that Jessie never served, and has a criminal record spanning several states. And yet anti-war groups bought his story hook, line, and sinker, without so much as bothering to check his DD-214 (proof that he had served, for you civilians out there).

Depending on who you believe, he has either quit or been kicked out of the group that sponsored him, Iraq Veterans Against The War. The site that showed his film, Peacefilms.org has shut down, displaying only a single graphic on their website. Unfortunately, some "reporters" are still reporting the story as fact, even after it’s been debunked.

For the second time in as many weeks, the Left is having to retract a story they desperately wished to be true. Not only is there no Karl Rove indictiment, their new soldier poster boy turns out to be a bitter fraud.
